Adventure competition series Celebrity Bear Hunt hit Netflix on February 5 and saw 12 celebrities thrust into the Costa Rican jungle for an experience they would never forget. As well as having to live in close quarters together, the famous faces also took on daily challenges in order to escape elimination in the terrifying 'Bear Pit'.
The contestants included Spice Girl Mel B, Strictly Come Dancing head judge Shirley Ballas, The Inbetweeners star Joe Thomas and Tennis ace Boris Becker. Now that the first season has aired on the streaming platform, host of the show, Holly Willoughby has teased a potential second instalment. When asked about a second series, Holly told Yahoo: "We absolutely love everything about the show, doing the show, and I think right now we're just sort of focusing on this one.
"We've unleashed it now. Let's see what what people make of it, one step at a time right?". The man himself, Bear Grylls also chimed in to agree with Holly and add: "One step at a time.". Fans have also been keen for a second season as somebody wrote on Reddit: "Hope they do another season," as another agreed: "Me too and yes please.". Someone else commented on YouTube: "Hope they do a no celebrity one too - Bear is epic.".
Yet another expressed: "I binge watched this, thought it was great. Hope they do a series two.". The last episode in the series saw a hotly-contested final with Una Healy, Steph McGovern, Lottie Moss, Big Zuu and Kola Bokinni trying to escape Bear's clutches in the Bear Pit. However, out of the five, only Big Zuu, Una and Steph managed to escape, which meant Lottie and Kola were given their marching orders.
In the final moments of the show, Bear was tasked with deciding who should win out of the three based on the final Bear Pit as well as their capabilities throughout the entire show. As he revealed the winner, Bear gushed: "One person stands out in terms of positivity, relentlessly giving their everything, in terms of calm under pressure, having that never giving up attitude and in terms of finishing this adventure strong.
