Romeo Lavia has tipped three Chelsea youngsters to make a big impression at Stamford Bridge in the coming years. Midfielder Lavia has had a difficult season-and-a-half with injuries since arriving in West London from Southampton in a £53m deal. Having missed almost all of last season, he has made only a dozen appearances so far in this campaign under Enzo Maresca. But Lavia, 21, was still named as one of the EA Sports FC 25 Future Stars this week - alongside Barcelona star Lamine Yamal, Real Madrid forward Endrick and Manchester United defender Leny Yoro.

And, speaking to the Rising Ballers YouTube channel, he went on to name a trio of young clubmates he thinks could make the list in future years. “I think Tyrique George, I see Josh Acheampong," Lavia said. “You guys probably don’t know him, well you probably do know him, Shim [Mheuka], good striker. Yeah, I would say these three. I’m really confident in their abilities.”. Lavia, who is currently sidelined with a muscle issue, also spoke of his desire to “give back” to his community while stressing top footballers can do “a lot more” to help out.

The Belgium international continued: “Off the pitch I want to give back to the community in general because I think, as footballers, we can do a lot more. That’s definitely one thing that I have in my heart. “Obviously the people that are following us all the time… sometimes when we’re playing games and it’s raining and it’s bad weather, we think, ‘These people are there and they’re singing and they’re behind us all the time,’ so it’s just giving that love back as much as I can.

“On the pitch [I want to achieve] a lot. I’m aiming for the highest so every title that is there for me to grab then I will go for it. All the trophies I can think of, I’m going for it.”.
