There's big scenes to come in Coronation Street as spoilers reveals shock returns and blasts from the past for some Weatherfield residents. One resident undergoes an operation while another is left lying at the bottom of a stairwell. Another is also taken aback when he spots a familiar face returning to Weatherfield... It's all set to come out for Rob and Mandy. When Rob calls her needing help, he learns that she's been suspended after someone found out about their relationship. Things go from bad to worse when he's seen lying motionless at the bottom of an office block stairwell.

As Rob's condition worsens, Carla demands to speak to a nurse, but Mandy turns on her. Could Carla be in danger? Elsewhere, Kit is determined to get to the bottom of what happened to Rob. Is Rob still alive and will Kit be able to work out what happened? Later in the week, Lisa is brought in for questioning about what happened to Rob. Rob isn't the only one is hospital as it's time for Kevin's operation. However, the environment is too much for Abi. As she's sitting in the car park, she spots a gurney with a sheet over it. She gets the shock of her life when she pulls the sheet back, but what has she seen? Later in the week, she attends her first therapy session and is left shocked when she sees a familiar face.

She's not the only one spotting a familiar face though as Todd and Billy attend a singles night. However, it all gets too much for Billy when men offer to buy them drinks, as he runs out. Todd's then distracted as he catches sight of Julie Carp, his mum Eileen's younger half sister. But why is she back?. It's a blast from the past for Chesney as neighbour Lou introduces Mick to the couple. A huge argument erupts between Mick and Lou after he admits to breaking Lou’s dead Nan’s vase. Gemma then urges Chesney to speak to Mick, when he tells Chesney that he remembers him from the market when he used to sell dog collars.

Elsewhere, David receives more bad news from his brother Nick. Later in the week he goes with Shona to visit Max in prison. To ensure his safety, the pair have applied for him to be moved to Scotland, but a wary Max isn't convinced he'll be safe.
