EastEnders legend Michelle Collins has responded to a number of trolls online, with her co-star Heather Peace standing up to support the star. Michelle plays Cindy Beale in the BBC One soap. Earlier this month, pictures were revealed that tease the drama Cindy will find herself involved in over Christmas and the start of 2025.

As these images were shared online, they were sadly seen by a number of troll accounts on X. This saw Michelle fall victim to a few nasty comments from the users on the social media platform. Fortunately, she was prepared with some brilliant responses.

In one tweet, she said: ‘What I don’t get is why do people always comment on a woman’s looks? Her age, how old she looks, how weathered she looks, she hasn’t aged well, looks terrible close up, honestly really? You don’t do it to men hardly ever! I’m older, wiser happier and a better actress.’.

After noticing the hurtful messages herself, Heather Peace – who plays Eve Unwin in the show – replied to the above message from Michelle. In support of her friend, Heather wrote: ‘You’re beautiful inside and out Mich. It’s so hard in our industry. A bloody disgrace. Ageing should be seen as an honour. To live a long life is such a blessing. And you; you’re gorgeous in wisdom & elegance. I understand and I feel you xxx.’.
