For some, the idea of a big turkey dinner on Christmas Day just isn't appealing. Instead, there will be a few who'd be just as happy with a Big Mac and fries. Most UK McDonald's chains will be closed on Christmas Day to give staff a chance to unwind and enjoy the day with their families. However, not every Golden Arches will be switching off the grills on December 25.
There are a handful of fast food restaurants that will be open for business on Christmas Day, including 28 McDonald's. Most are open just for a limited time but some are sticking to business as usual, staying open through the night and into Boxing Day morning.

From Monday, January 6, McDonald’s is kickstarting a new promotional menu featuring The Chicken Katsu One, which will cost £1.99 when purchased on a Wednesday. The wrap includes your choice of crispy or grilled chicken, coated in flavourful katsu sauce, packed with crispy onions, crunchy cucumber, and fresh lettuce - all wrapped in a warm, toasted tortilla.
