Gaz Beadle's ex-wife has pulled her children out of school following a troubling bullying incident. Emma McVey, 32, has decided to homeschool her two young children, Chester, seven, and Primrose, five, after they experienced taunts that caused anxiety. She shared with her followers that the bullying had a significant impact on her kids, prompting the decision to take them out of school. Known for her relationship with Gaz, Emma started dating him in 2016, and they tied the knot five years later. The couple announced their split in October 2023. Taking to Instagram, the devoted mother shared that her son Chester was unfairly teased by another child due to his hair.

She also revealed that the hurtful comments caused her children's anxiety to escalate, resulting in "tummy problems, nail-biting, and teeth grinding." McVey went on to admit that she has been homeschooling Chester and Primose for a few weeks now. Sharing the reason behind her decision, Emma penned: "I chose this way of learning for my children’s mental health. "Some of you may have seen me speak about it before, but it couldn’t have got any worse. So many people will judge and not understand but when you watch your child with extreme anxiety daily you may change your opinion.".

Emma went on to explain that while school can be an "amazing experience" for some children, it can also be "incredibly harmful" for others. She continued by detailing the bullying that her and Gaz’s son had to endure. "We dealt with bullying from a ‘friend’ of my son's over his hair. I will always tell my children to be who they want to be and never do something to fit in, I know so many boys with long hair these days and he loves it.

"Finger biting, teeth grinding, little or no sleep. One of my children was referred for tests to see if there was bowel disease as it runs in the family, but this was actually symptoms caused by anxiety.". She later opened up about the challenges of homeschooling, sharing her personal experience with her followers. "I’m lucky enough to work from home and able to do this but it has still been a huge adjustment for me, it works for some and it’s not for others," the model and influencer said.

"The reason I have given as much detail as I have is maybe some who usually judge me just might understand a little, because some days it’s really hard being judged on every decision I make.". However, Emma was met with positive reactions to her decision. One person said: "From one home ed momma to another…. Mine thrived and flourished after suffering with school anxiety… you create their flexible and nurturing journey- it will be incredible.".

Another one of her followers added: "I started it with my 10-year-old for the same sort of reasons. She struggled for years. My only regret is not doing it sooner." And a third wrote: "Well done Emma, not all children thrive in the school environment. You know your kids more than anyone else and will always do the best for them.".
