A MAN has shared how he allegedly purchased a property in Hungary for less than £2,000 after leaving the UK. TikToker @from.evesham.to.h revealed just how cheap the houses are in the Central European country after ditching Evasham, West Midlands. According to the data by the real estate company Rightmove, house prices in Evasham have an overall average of £278,455 over the last year - or more than 139 times more expensive than the sum he had to fork out for his property in Hungary.

The man, who said that moving to Hungary was ''the best thing'' he's ever done, added that recently one lucky buyer scored an even better deal. Sharing his new life on TikTok, the man said: ''Got a notification yesterday. Somebody's purchased a three-bedroom house in the village at an auction.

''I'm trying to get involved in these auctions - because it was remarkable what they paid. ''It was ready to move into, the bank had owned it, it was a repossession. ''It sold for the remarkable price of Ft 117,000. To put that into context, that's £235,'' he told fellow social media users in the video.
''You heard me right,'' said the man, adding that the buyer had to pay only a ''2% tax'' on it and the ''land tax for the year would be £10''. According to the man, who was also stunned by the sunny weather abroad, the other essentials, such as gas, are also subsidised.
''You've got subsidised gas, electric and water - the lowest prices in Europe.''. In the clip, he also claimed that the energy bills come to under £600 per year. ''So yeah, £235 for a house at an auction - that's not even a week's wage for many, many people.
''That's just over a week's, nearly two weeks, of pension credit - and you get a house, three-bedroom.''. Responding to the 484 comments left by intrigued viewers, the man explained that those who purchase property own the land ''outright''. The TikToker, who left the UK after Brexit, claimed he currently makes money by ''finding houses'', as well as his TikTok and YouTube accounts.
However, he added in the comments, there's also a catch. To be able to snap up a property on the cheap at an auction, ''you have to be a resident to get access to the auction and speak the language'' - which he claimed you pick up once you start living there.
Brexit means British citizens now have to apply for visas to move to countries within the EU. While some countries residency restrictions are easier than others, here's what you need to do at home before moving:. Since being posted online just a day ago, the clip has already taken the internet by storm, winning the man close to a staggering 180k views.
Hundreds flooded to comments, where one asked: ''Any more for sale bud? sick of this country and I want out!!''. Another joked: ''Love it….. in the UK it would cost more for a bag of shopping in Waitrose.''. A third chimed in: ''I won’t swear but that is incredible. I am seriously wanting to get out of the U.K. before it’s too late, hence watching your video’s keep up the great work.''.
