An Instagram model has revealed that she is undergoing emergency surgery for sepsis after giving birth to her newborn son who tragically died. Ruby Natalie, who has 276,000 followers, shared a heartbreaking post at the end of January revealing the sad news. She wrote: "Our darling, sweet boy Romeo Civzelis. We are sat here with an empty womb, empty cot at home and a broken heart.". She continued: "Your wings were ready but our hearts wasn't. Rest in peace my angel boy Romeo. I will never comprehend what has happened. We dressed him, we held, kissed him, and told him how much we loved him. Mummy and daddy love you SO much my darling.".

The 30-year-old's post also included a photo of her cradling newborn Romeo in a hospital bed as she wrote in the accompanying caption that they will be reunited someday with the lyrics to the Vera Lynn song We'll Meet Again. The song One Sweet Day, performed by Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men played over the top of the post. Now Ruby and her partner have set up The Romeo Foundation in their little one's memory. Sharing a link to the new page @theromeofoundation in her Instagram stories, Ruby wrote: "After losing our precious boy Romeo, we didn't want to see or hear from anyone who hadn't been in the same situation.

"As amazing as the midwives, bereavement team and doctors were, we were so desperate for advice from other parents who had been through the same thing. We've started this charity to help grieving parents to have the option to hold a hand or speak in person at the hardest of times, and the support they may need whilst they are in hospital or when they are at home. We will also be offering essentials you may need at this time.".

Some of the essentials on offer to grieving families include gowns for premature babies, hats, blankets, teddies and candles. Ruby wrote: "I will be giving these to King's College Hospital and St Thomas Hospital as they are the closest hospitals to me at the moment. It may take me a few days to get them there as I'm still recovering from surgery - I am so happy that parents will have more of a selection to pick from for their angels.".

Her plan is to donate to hospitals all over the UK, setting up a Go Fund page to raise money to do so, which has so far raised more than £500. In another post detailing her own experience she shared: "Going septic and needing surgery after giving birth to my angel boy Romeo. "I'm sorry I've been offline for a while. Right now, I can’t tell you how much I appreciate all your messages, even if I don’t reply - I see them and they bring me so much comfort….So please keep them coming.

"There is nothing anyone can do to bring my son back … but I still appreciate all the kind messages. Was I worried about having sepsis? Honestly not really. I think it got to the point where I was so exhausted and I thought if my time is up, my time is up. But the hospital were fighting for me doing everything they could to save me, which made me eventually realise I have that fire in me to get better, for my children's sake.

"I have had my emergency surgery today - I went under at around 9 and was awake at about 11.30. - I am trying to feel peace and not anger. It’s been a rough ride, but I’m still here, fighting. And will continue to fight this battle. "Please see @theromeofoundation that we have started for other grieving parents and the essentials they may need. I want to help, as I now know first hand what it feels like to lose a child. If you are going through losing a child - please feel to DM and I will help as much as much as possible. If I don’t reply back straight away - I promise I will reply back when I can.".

Ruby's posts have prompted an outpouring of supportive messages. Former Love Island star Chloe Crowhurst responded saying: "Oh Rubes, I am so sorry! This is absolutely heartbreaking. Sending you all so much [love].". Former Celebs Go Dating star Wayne Lineker wrote: "Love you beyond you beautiful soul ... thinking of you ... all my love forever." While the Only Way is Essex's Chloe Brockett posted: "Ruby I'm sending you and your partner so much love. Hope you're ok.".
