Rapper Kanye West and Bianca Censori could be set for a messy divorce amid reports they have split following their controversial appearance at the 2025 Grammy Awards. It’s thought that couple have verbally agreed the Australian, 30, will get a $5million payment following the alleged breakdown of their marriage. Kanye and Bianca tied the knot at the end of 2022 just weeks after the musician had completed his divorce from Kim Kardashian.
A source has claimed the pair are now reportedly set to go their separate ways and that a legal filing is expected in the next few days. It has been reported that Bianca is staying at their pair's $35 million house in Beverly Park North, Los Angeles for the time being. The location of rapper Kanye, who is legally known is Ye, is yet to be confirmed, but some are said to think he might head back to Tokyo, Japan, where he spent a large portion of last year staying in a hotel. A representative for the couple denied they had split earlier this month but that hasn't stopped speculation a divorce is on the cards.
If they are to actually divorce, and if the divorce were to happen under English law, there is a likelihood that Bianca could be the one to suffer financially. Julia Townend, Barrister at 4PB in the UK, exclusively told The Mirror: "If West and Censori were divorcing this side of the Atlantic, the short length of their marriage and the fact that no children were born from it may limit any financial claims. Any payout would likely be limited to the greater of Censori’s needs or her share of the assets accumulated during the marriage.
"It has been suggested that there could be coercive control within this marriage. But it would be relatively rare for this to impact the financial outcome, if alleged in proceedings – generally domestic abuse would need to be proved to be exceptional, crossing a high threshold, with a negative financial consequence flowing from the conduct. However, it may affect the way any family court case is dealt with practically.".
The apparent split comes just days after the couple shocked the world with Bianca's revealing outfit at the Grammys. While they have continuously pushed the boundaries with their risque outfits, the most revealing yet came at the awards ceremony earlier in the month. As Bianca dropped her fur coat on the red carpet, her see-through dress left little to the imagination. The outrage led to people calling for jail time before the rapper proudly commented that the pair had "beat the Grammys" due to the intense publicity the daring look brought.
Days later, Kanye launched in to a vile rant on Twitter/X. Among his shocking outbursts came a post about his "control" over Bianca. In the posts, the Gold Digger rapper, 47, claimed he had dominion over his wife, fuming: "I HAVE DOMINION OVER MY WIFE. THIS AIN'T NO WOKE A** FEMINIST S***. SHE'S WITH A BILLIONAIRE, WHY WOULD SHE LISTEN TO ANY OF YOU DUMB*** BROKE B*****. PEOPLE SAY THE RED CARPET LOOK WAS HER DECISION. YES I DON'T MAKE HER DO NOTHING. SHE DOESN'T WANT TO, BUT SHE DEFINITELY WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN ABLE TO DO IT WITHOUT MY APPROVAL.
"YOU STUPID A** WOKE PAWNS I HAVE NO RESPECT OR EMPATHY FOR ANYONE LIVING CAUSE NOBODY LIVING CAN F*** WITH ME BUT I DO LOVE SOME PEOPLE AND I GIVE THEM FAVOR.". The rapper also launched a cruel attack on the Jewish community before calling himself a 'Nazi' and claiming that he 'loves Hitler'. Following his outburst, Ye disappeared from the platform. An account claiming to belong to Bianca then spoke out after his rant. It shared a picture of the two of them and a prayer asking God to protect Ye and "lead him toward understanding & respect for all people.".

The separation claims come months after pals had claimed the rapper was "ready for divorce". In October, sources told TMZ that the Clique rapper had been telling his pals that he is done with his wife and wants to be single again. Later today, and following the news of their split, Kanye took to Instagram and shared a definition of the word 'coercion'. The post was accompanied by a caption which read: "Is the coercion.".
