Former All Stars islander Tina Stinnes has shared an update on Scott Thomas following his shock Love Island exit. Tina, 29, had previously been coupled-up with Scott, 36, on the ITV2 show whilst in the villa together. Their romance came to an end when Scott decided to leave after he suggested that he couldn't see it progressing any further. Following his departure, Tina later coupled up with Chuggs Wallis, though they were dumped from the villa a week ago.
She shared an update on her relationship with Scott whilst on a livestream with Amy Hart ahead of the final on Monday night though. Tina said: "I have heard from Scott. Yeah, me and Scott have FaceTimed. [...] We spoke today.". Asked who reached out, Tina said: "Well, he always told me he was following me on Instagram so when I got out [of the villa] I got confirmation he wasn't when I was in there. So I said 'I told you you didn't' and he said it was a glitch. [...] Then we had a FaceTime and we've been on the phone. We had a really good chat.".
Former islander Amy then asked if they would have a date upon her return to the UK from South Africa following the final. Tina appeared to dismiss the idea of a "date" but she teased that the former co-stars will "catch up" soon. Tina's comments came ahead of the All Stars final, with her among the dumped islanders in attendance. Scott however has not returned to the villa for the final. His absence was reported over the weekend ahead of the final, with it suggested that he had made the decision not to go back.
Scott announced that he had decided to leave the villa earlier this month. He had been coupled-up with Tina but whilst discussing his experience after leaving the villa, he said: "I had a connection with [her] but it wasn't fireworks." Whilst in the villa, Scott had expressed doubts about their romance on occasion and, shortly before leaving, told Tina that he didn't expect further progression in their relationship. He was even confronted over the situation by fellow islander Elma Pazar. Tina was later dumped from the villa herself in a subsequent episode.
Scott had initially been coupled-up with India Reynolds on All Stars - which returned for its second series last month. India was however dumped from the villa following Tina's late arrival, after being left single when the bombshell chose to couple-up with Scott herself. After almost two weeks together, Scott later told Tina shortly before he left the villa: "I don't fully feel it. And it's getting to the point now where I don't feel like I can give you any more and I think that you like fully deserve that.".
Elma went on to question why Scott's relationships in the villa didn't progress. He overheard her saying: "Leave then, mate! You've had two f***ing blinding birds and you've said there's something missing from both of [those romances]. What do you want? So is someone gonna tell him cause I will.". She later told him: "If you're not happy Scott, then go home babe." He replied: "I will. Listen, I will go home." Scott then suggested to her that he would leave the next day, which he did. Speaking about Tina, Elma suggested that he "borderline led her on," which Scott denied. She later cried whilst saying that she was "riddled in guilt" over having previously saved Tina from a dumping - which meant her pal Kaz Crossley left - in a bid to help her romance with Scott.
