Broadband provider Community Fibre has restored service after a massive outage today. The company, which has 300,000 customers mainly in London and surrounding areas, apologised for the disruption. At around noon more than 10,000 users had reported that their broadband had cut off using Down Detector. Many customers took to social media to complain, with Community Fibre replying that it was working on a ‘fix’ as a ‘top priority’.

‘The outage that affected many customers today has now been resolved,’spokesperson for the firm said on Monday evening. ‘We apologise to all the customers that suffered a loss of service this afternoon.’. Community Fibre did not specify what caused the issue. Get in touch with our news team by emailing us at webnews@metro.co.uk. For more stories like this, check our news page.
