Manchester United will look to offload three of their biggest earners - including Marcus Rashford and Casemiro - so that they can keep Kobbie Mainoo. The Old Trafford hierarchy have made it clear that the entire squad is up for sale and they will listen to offers for any player. That includes the likes of Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho, two of the club's young hopes.
United desperately need to raise funds and will be open to bids for the majority of individuals, even if they're expected to have huge careers. They would rather not part with Mainoo and are currently in the midst of contract talks with the young midfielder.
Currently though they're far apart when it comes to finances with the teenager wanting to land a £200,00-a-week deal in Manchester. United want to drive down their wage bill and may sacrifice some high earners to give Mainoo what he wants. The Daily Mail understands that Rashford, Casemiro and Antony could all be moved on to free up space on the balance sheet. Mainoo was considered an untouchable under Erik ten Hag when the Red Devils first made it known that they were almost entirely open for business.
That stance has since changed and Mainoo will attract plenty of interest. Chelsea are among those keen and the England international's value will continue to go down as his contract nears its expiry, but United are still more likely to sell in the summer, if at all.
