Getting your loved ones gifts they'll love is an important part of Christmas for many. If you buy Christmas presents for your family, you should have already bought everything and wrapped it up - as you've only got seven days left until the big day. Many of us will have spent weeks trying to find the perfect presents that we know our loved ones will appreciate, whether that's concert tickets for music lovers or something new to play for the gamer in your family.
But one woman has been left horrified by the gift her husband gave to her a week before Christmas, as it showed her exactly what he thinks her hobbies are. The woman explained her partner decided to give her one of her Christmas presents early because it would "get a lot of use between now and Christmas", and while she was initially excited, she quickly realised what he'd done when she opened the bag.
In a post on Reddit, the woman revealed her husband had bought her Scrub Daddy cleaning sponges. She did admit that her husband wanted to use them himself to do the washing up that night, but she was still livid about the gift. Not only was the gift more than a little misogynistic, it was also only given to her early because he wanted to use them himself.
She said: "Last night, I was prepping bottles and trying to get to bed while he was going to wash the dishes. He came up to me with a plastic Walmart bag and said, 'I've decided to give you your Christmas present early since it can get a lot of use between now and Christmas'. I thought that was a little weird, but hey, I like gifts, so I didn't think much about it.
