Silent Witness has made a triumphant return to BBC One, with part one of the two-part story 'Homecoming' seeing the team investigate the brutal murder of an estate agent by a claw hammer. The crime scene brings some familiar faces back into their lives.
The plot thickens when the murder weapon mysteriously disappears, leading them into a conspiracy involving local government. Emilia Fox reprises her role as Nikki Alexander, alongside David Caves as Jack Hodgson. The first episode introduced two fresh faces to the team - Harriet and Kit, portrayed by Maggie Steed and Francesca Mills. With a brand new narrative to unravel, the long-standing detective drama welcomes these newcomers.
Part two of 'Homecoming' is set to air on Tuesday at 9pm. Here's the lowdown on who else will be joining the cast for the upcoming two episodes. Zoe Telford, a 52 year old English actress who kickstarted her career in dance, landed her first significant acting role in The Bill in 1993. She later starred in Teachers and The Last Train.
Ellora Torchia, a 32 year old British actress, is recognised for her role in the film In The Earth. She was named a 2021 Screen International Star of Tomorrow and a BAFTA Breakthrough Brit. Sarah Kameela Impey, a British actress and singer, spent six years as part of the soul indie band A Blossom Fell. She currently plays Saira, the singer in the 2021 Channel 4 musical comedy series We Are Lady Parts.
