BBC Breakfast's Naga Munchetty didn't seem too thrilled with weatherman Matt Taylor's offering during the latest edition of the show. The seasoned presenter, alongside her colleague Charlie Stayt, was at the helm of delivering Friday's news (February 21) to viewers with updates from across the globe.
When Matt wrapped up his segment with a less than sunny outlook for Sunday, telling the nation about the wet and windy outlook for the weekend Naga responded with a candid: "I don't know if I really want to hear it, to be honest.". Matt quipped back at the lack of enthusiasm, saying: "It's not really a hard sell there, was it?" Trying to inject some humour into the situation, Naga shot back: "Not really. Work on that Matt," before moving on with the programme.
This bit of banter follows a wave of support for Naga from fans after her return from a four-month injury layoff. Just last week the BBC journalist had expressed her joy on Instagram at making strides in her running routine, posting a victorious and sweaty selfie with the caption: "Yes! I did it again... feeling stronger every day.".
The 49-year-old broadcaster has been easing back into her fitness regimen, taking care to 'take it slowly', reports the Express. Naga's update was met with praise from fans, as one wrote: "Well done, good girl Naga. Take care.". Another follower added: "Well done, consistency is key like with most things.".
The presenter previously spoke about her foot injury on BBC Breakfast, saying she had been limping for six weeks after suffering the injury. When asked about what had happened, Naga joked that it was a result of "kicking someone who gave me unsolicited advice".
Matt's weather update came after Carol Kirkwood interrupted her weather forecast on Wednesday's BBC Breakfast as a producer was forced to step in. Moments into her first weather report of the day, Carol seemed to have forgotten the remote she needed to change the pictures behind her.
As she started her forecast, she could be seen nodding to a producer, who was out of shot. Carol continued to talk before telling viewers: "Excuse me just a second while I pick this up.". A producer then stepped into the camera shot to hand Carol the remote so she could change the pictures behind her as she spoke. She then proceeded to carry on with her segment as usual.
