Colleagues are said to have been "concerned" about actor Noel Fielding after his abrupt disappearance from a TV show he was working on, forcing the programme to be axed. It's been announced that production on the second season of AppleTV's the Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin has been scrapped due to Noel, 51, dropping out of it. The actor's health is said to be behind his departure.

The show, which launched on the streaming platform last year, is described as an "irreverent retelling" of highwayman Dick Turpin's life, with Noel in the title role. A second season of the historical comedy had been announced in July. It's now been revealed that the season has been scrapped this week after Noel didn't return after the Christmas break, as reported by the Times. It's been suggested that he was not well enough to continue filming, which was underway.

Great British Bake Off host Noel is said to have sparked concern over his wellbeing. The outlet also reports that there's been frustration among some of his colleagues from the AppleTV show over the decision to scrap filming despite them reportedly being just weeks away from wrapping.

A source told the outlet: "Noel has said that he can't film anymore and so there was no choice but to stop." They went on to add that the decision was not "taken lightly" and said that the situation would not have got to "this extreme result" if other possible efforts had not been "exhausted".
