Ozzy Osbourne, legendary frontman of Black Sabbath, won’t perform a full set at their final gig due to one reason. The 76-year-old rock legend, who rose to fame as the lead singer of Black Sabbath, confessed he can’t commit to a full performance, admitting he can only manage "little bits and pieces.". It’s been six years since Black Sabbath’s farewell tour, which ended in 2017. Now, the band is reuniting for one last performance, with Ozzy taking the stage alongside guitarist Tony Iommi, drummer Bill Ward, and bassist Geezer Butler. The music icon, who is married to Sharon Osbourne and has three children—Aimee, Kelly, and Jack—has faced health challenges over the years, including being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2019 and battling emphysema, a chronic lung condition that causes shortness of breath.

In February 2025, Ozzy revealed that the original line-up of the band would reunite for one last charity performance at Villa Park, Birmingham, on July 5. Titled Back to the Beginning, this concert will mark the band's final gig, as well as it being his last performance with the group. The show will be Black Sabbath's first in eight years and the first time in two decades that the original members have shared the stage. Proceeds from the event will benefit Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and Acorns Children’s Hospice.

On his decision to scale back his involvement in Black Sabbath’s final performance, the rock legend said on the Ozzy Speaks show: "I'm not planning on doing a set with Black Sabbath but I am doing little bits and pieces with them. I am doing what I can, where I feel comfortable.". He added: "I'm not going to get up there and do a half-hearted Ozzy looking for sympathy. What's the f****** point in that? I'm not going up there in a fucking wheelchair.".

In 2020, Ozzy opened up about being diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, admitting he was using a cane and struggling with his speech due to his condition. The same year, the musician opened up about his use of stem cell therapy during an episode of "Ozzy Speaks.". “I’ve just come back from the doctor after having some stem cells put in me.... The thing is, you have it, and you go, ‘I don’t feel that great,’ but I don’t know what it would be like if I didn’t have it,” he said in a clip of the conversation.

He also fell on his face in January 2019 after getting up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night, which led to surgery on his neck and spine. “When they do surgery on your neck, they cut through all the nerves, and it f----- everything up,” he said. “So I’m wobbling all over the place. And since they cut through the nerves, my right arm feels permanently cold.”. Follow Mirror Celebs on TikTok, Snapchat, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Threads.
