Late Hollyoaks star Paul Danan had planned a reality TV return in a major Channel 4 series prior to his death aged 46, it has been revealed. The actor, who played Sol Patrick in the soap between 1997 and 2001, passed away last week. His management confirmed the sad news in a statement, writing: ‘It is with heavy hearts that we share the tragic news of the passing of @pauldanan at just 46 years old.

The police later confirmed they are not treating Paul’s death as suspicious.
