People have been left shocked after a woman who has been using a viral skincare tool revealed her age. A TikTok creator, known as maamesviralfinds, shared a video about a tool she has been using to help with sagging skin. gua sha is a traditional Chinese medicine practise in which a smooth-edged tool is used to scrape people’s skin to relax stiff muscles and tone facial muscles, helping with sagging skin.
At the start of her TikTok video, the woman revealed that she recently turned 48. People in the comment section were astonished as many thought she looked younger than 30. Speaking in the video, she said: “Stop scrolling if you’re getting older and worrying about your face sagging. I recently turned 48, yeah I know I’m getting old.
“Face sagging is not something that I have ever really thought about before, it’s only very recently when I started thinking about it. I have been using this gua sha tool on my face for some time now.”. She added that she uses the tool whenever she remembers, like when she’s in the shower. The TikTok creator uses it to do a scraping motion on her face but she admitted “I don’t know if it’s doing anything but it feels nice.”.
But then she started using a gua sha microcurrent device, which uses sonic vibrations and microcurrent technology to do a similar thing. She explained: “I heard about this device which has got three different lights. Blue is for cleaning, the green is for pigmentation and discolouration and the infrared is for collagen.
