You might also need to go out to the Post Office to pick up a parcel if you missed a Christmas delivery. But don’t leave the house just yet because you need to check if your local branch is actually open.

Opening times can vary from branch to branch, so it is recommended that you find your local opening hours by using the Branch Finder tool. Major branches will be open as usual. Major branches will be open – with the typical hours of 9am-1pm. Closed. Normal business hours.
The Post Office has a network of 11,500 branches across the UK, but out of those 115 are determined as ‘Crown’ Post Offices. These are branches still run by the Post Office, typically in city centre locations. A Post Office spokesperson said: ‘Our Postmasters know just how much local residents and businesses rely on Post Office services in the run-up to Christmas.
‘We typically have around 4,000 branches operated by independent Postmasters or our retail partners open at weekends and we would expect these branches to be open as usual on the weekends over the festive break. ‘Our advice is to check a branch’s local Facebook page for information about openings over Christmas or visit postoffice.co.uk/branch-finder.
