The premiere for Robbie Williams’ critically acclaimed biopic Better Man in Los Angeles has been cancelled. On Tuesday morning, a massive 1,200-acre brush fire tore through celebrity enclave the Pacific Palisades and an evacuation order has since been put into effect.

The Los Angeles Fire Department said in a statement: "The Palisades Fire is burning near Palisades Drive. Those nearby should get set for a potential wildfire evacuation by gathering supplies and loved ones." Now, Paramount has confirmed the premiere for Better Man will no longer go ahead today, with a studio spokesperson citing the dangerous conditions in LA.

A statement read: “Due to the dangerous conditions affecting Los Angeles we are canceling tomorrow’s premiere of Better Man. Our thoughts are with those impacted by the devastating fires resulting from these conditions, and we encourage everyone to stay safe and follow guidance and orders from local officials and government agencies.”.

The premiere is not the only star-studded event in the City of Angels to have been called off due to the wildfires. This week, SAG-AFTRA pulled the plug on its live announcement for this year’s award show nominations and on Tuesday night, a West Hollywood event for last year’s Saturday Night film was called off, as were premieres for Universal’s new flick Wolf Man at Hollywood’s TCL Chinese Theatre and Max’s medical drama The Pitt.
