Pop sensation Sabrina Carpenter brings a touch of old school glamour to March's Vogue. The Espresso singer wears red lace lingerie with fluffy high-heel mules in one snap. She also poses in a satin corset and a golden gown, with shining Marilyn Monroe-style curls completing her vintage look. Of her stage persona, Sabrina says: “I dress in this way where you would expect to hear a voice from the 60s. I remember feeling inspired by women that felt strong and hyperfeminine. And then being like: ‘If only she said what she was actually thinking.’”.
The 25-year-old’s album Short n’ Sweet was a huge worldwide hit last year, and she’s only going from strength to strength. Just today, she was announced as the winner of the Global Success award at the BRIT Awards 2025. The news was shared on the BRITs WhatsApp channel, making her the first international artist to receive the award. She will also perform at the ceremony on Saturday, March 1, at The O2 arena in London. The show, hosted by Jack Whitehall, will be broadcast live on ITV1 and ITVX.
The Global Success award recognises artists with huge international sales. Previous winners include Adele, Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, and One Direction. Sabrina had an incredible year in 2024, breaking records on the charts. She held the number one spot on the Official UK Charts for 20 weeks, something no artist has done in 71 years. She also became the first female artist to hold the top three spots on the UK Singles Chart at the same time with Taste, Please Please Please, and Espresso.
BRITs Committee Chair Damian Christian said: "Congratulations to Sabrina on winning this prestigious award. Everyone involved in the show is looking forward to her performance, which promises to be one of the highlights of the night.". After the BRITs, Sabrina is set to stay in the UK for her European tour, which she announced a month before releasing her sixth album last summer. The tour kicks off in the UK on March 6 in Birmingham, followed by March 8 in London.
Sabrina’s career peak follows her split from actor Barry Keoghan, 32. News broke that Barry and Sabrina were putting a pin in their romance in December, after an insider told People: "They are both young and career-focused, so they've decided to take a break.". As the new year started, Sabrina made it clear she was putting the past behind her and focusing on her huge prospects for 2025. “I think a new year is a great time to reflect on all you have achieved, to be grateful for all you have, to be thankful for all the people in your life that love you. It’s also a great to leave stuff in the past that wasn’t good for you, any negative experiences or emotions and just have a fresh start,” she said.
