As fans know, Shona and Kit hooked up after she learned about how David had been intercepting messages from her son Clayton Hibbs (Callum Harrison) in prison, determined not to let Kylie Platts’ (Paula Lane) killer back in their lives. Shona insisted to Kit that, while she enjoyed their night together, it was a one-off – but she was later tempted by him after another row with David when he found the morning-after pill in her bag.

In scenes to air later this month, manager Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) tries to interest Shona in her New Year’s Eve party at the hotel. When Shona is dismissive, Debbie takes offence and points out she seemed quite at home in the hotel the other night.
