Last year, Home Bargains was selling Hanging Hot Air Balloon Solar Lights and now, customers have spotted a similar item on the shelves at Asda. One happy shopper was thrilled with her finds and eagerly took to social media to alert other bargain hunters. Posting on Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, a private Facebook group with 2.6 million members, Sarah-Lou Critcher uploaded a snap of her finds, leaving many open-mouthed.

Alongside her post, the overjoyed Asda shopper beamed: “For all those who missed out on the solar hot air balloons, I found these in Asda today for £5. “The same size as the ones Home Bargains were selling last year.”. The new Balloon Solar Light, which is available in Asda stores now, is sure to elevate your outdoor space with its enchanting glow. It can be hung around your outdoor space, from brackets or from hooks added to fences or walls.

This solar light from George Home at Asda includes 30 flame effect LEDs. This harmonious fusion of aesthetic elegance and eco-friendly functionality will turn on at dusk. And it’s not hard to see why shoppers are absolutely obsessed with the sweet solar lamp, as it has gorgeous coloured panels that will bounce light around your garden in no time at all. Nick Hamilton owner of Barnsdale Gardens has shared his favourite plants and flowers you should consider adding to your garden, borders and pots.

Tricyrtis. A spectacular plant that gives a real exotic feel to any garden with its orchid-like, spotted flowers giving the impression that this plant should be tender but it is “as tough as old boots!”. Penstemon. I love this plants genus of because most will flower all summer and autumn. They’ll grow in sun or semi-shade in a well drained soil and produce a non-stop display of tubular flowers in an array of colours and colour combination to suit all tastes.

Luzula sylvatica ‘Marginata’. With the evergreen leaves edged with yellow it’s great asset is that it. will grow in sun or shade in any type of soil and is great as groundcover in the hardest spot to fill - dry shade. Eryngium x zabelii ‘Big Blue’. A stunning, nectar-rich plant that will feed the beneficial insects in your. garden. Leave the flowerheads once they have turned brown because they look stunning with winter frost and snow, extending the plant’s interest period.

Sarcococca hookeriana ‘Winter Gem’. If you need winter scent then look no further than this compact, evergreen shrub. The scent is stunning and the evergreen leaves create an excellent backdrop for the summer flowers. Cornus sanguinea ‘Anny’s Winter Orange’. A dwarf version of ‘Midwinter Fire’ the very colourful stems create a stunning winter display, particularly on sunny days. Rosa ‘Noisette Carnee’.

A very well-behaved climbing rose that is perfect for training over an arch, pergola or gazebo. The small, “noisette” flowers are blush-pink and produce the most amazing clove scent constantly from June to November. Sanguisorba hakusanensis ‘Lilac Squirrel’. I’ve never seen a squirrel with a drooping, shaggy lilac tail, but this variety will give your garden an unusual and different look throughout summer. It does need a moisture retentive soil but will grow in sun or semi-shade.

So if your garden is looking a bit dull and you want to bring it to life whilst staying on a budget, you’ll need to get down to your nearest Asda store - and fast. Social media users were beaming with the purse-friendly find and many flocked to the comments to express this. One person said: “Wow, that's a bargain.”. Bought seven of these today. Another added: “Omg how cheap.”. Meanwhile, a third tagged a friend and asked: “If you go can you get me two please? They’re gorgeous.”.

Shop the budget range. Savvy shopper Eilish Stout-Cairns recommends that shoppers grab items from Asda's Just Essentials range. She said: "Asda's budget range is easy to spot as it's bright yellow! Keep your eyes peeled for yellow and you'll find their Just Essentials range. "It's great value and I've found it has a much wider selection of budget items compared to other supermarkets. Sign up to Asda Rewards.

The savvy-saver also presses on the importance of signing up to Asda's reward scheme. She said: "Asda Rewards is free to join and if you shop at Asda you should absolutely sign up. "As an Asda Rewards member, you'll get exclusive discounts and offers, and you’ll also be able to earn 10% cashback on Star Products. "This will go straight into your cashpot, and once you've earned at least £1, you can transfer the money in your cashpot into ASDA vouchers.
