Philadelphia Eagles fans celebrating their team's historic win in last night's Super Bowl have caused chaos, marring their win over the Kansas City Chiefs. Footage showed fans surrounding a laundry truck before throwing folded piles of sheets and towels into the crowd, which were then set on fire. The ecstatic football fans were jubilant having won in a re-run of the 2023 Super Bowl, which saw the same teams compete - but the Chiefs were victors on that occasion.

Philadelphia Police were already on the scene close to the truck, and asked crowds to disperse and leave the streets of the city centre streets, but the celebrations went on through the evening. Some fans, dressed in their team's green jerseys, were spotted climbing lampposts and standing on top of vehicles. There were also reports of looting, and several people were arrested during the celebrations.

Millions had tuned in to watch the NFL season grand finale, in which the Philadelphia Eagles swooped to victory in a game which saw them dominate the Kansas City Chiefs. Among those in the audience were Donald Trump - the first sitting President to attend the event - and Taylor Swift, who was there to cheer on boyfriend and Chiefs star Travis Kelce. The two however received very mixed reactions from the crowds.

Rapper Kendrick Lamar performed a history-making halftime show which delighted fans. The Not Like Us rapper left the question hanging over whether he would perform the diss track aimed at industry rival Drake, but he did not disappoint. Cheers from the crowd could be heard as Kendrick teased the track and swiped at Drake's lawsuit against his record label – before going on to perform the song. However, the performance was thrown into chaos by a protestor storming onto the field. The protester was seen waving a Palestine flag as he disrupted the halftime show performance.
