Fans of The Traitors have spotted a clue making them think that they can guess exactly what will happen in the grand finale. Tonight’s episode of the BBC show saw fan-favourite Freddie Fraser voted off, with the 20-year-old politics student having been a Traitor for only a matter of hours. He was made a Traitor by Charlotte Berman, who then turned on him and got him booted out of the castle.

Fans saw an exact parallel to season one, when Kieran Tompsett was voted off in the same situation. He was made a Traitor by Wilf Webster, who again turned on him to boost his odds of staying in. “The history book on the shelf is always repeating itself,” one fan wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, alongside photos of Freddie and Kieran.

Both this year and in season one, this meant only one Traitor made it to the final. However, season one saw Wilf - despite all of his scheming - unable to win the prize pot. If history repeats itself, this will mean that Charlotte will also miss out on the win, with the prize currently standing at £75,000 and more to be added tomorrow.

Adding to the fan theory, Charlotte’s odds of winning may have been dashed by her latest move against ally Freddie, who made sure things would be harder for him after he left. Branding her “snakey” for the way in which she double-crossed him over Leanne having a shield, Freddie ominously declared: “Charlotte threw Minah under the bus now she’s trying to throw me under the bus. If I get banished, I get banished - but I will be taking her down with me.”.
