An adult content creator who makes her old annual salary in one month has opened up about what her parents think about her unusual career. Kat Holmes, 29, ditched her role as an admin worker in a hospital to share racy content on OnlyFans as a living full-time. She says she rakes in £30,000 a month, which was her yearly pay packet at the hospital.
Her case echoes that of Lily Phillips, a British woman who has now reached international notoriety as a pornographic model. Her career choice has divided opinion as, while it has helped the 23-year-old woman secure a plush pad in west London and set her sights on a home in Derby, her parents are yet to embrace it.
And Kat's family reacted a similar way, she has confessed in a candid interview. Kat said she has even been "cut off" by her parents. She added: "They view me differently because of my job but I am still the same person regardless of what I do... It was a very hard and depressing transition because you don’t get to speak to your family as much. Being cut off was very hard but I’ve accepted it now.".
Kat, originally from Sydney, Australia, used to see her family on a weekly basis before she joined the site in September 2021. Since then, she claims she has been cat adrift from her parents, who raised her in a single-income household in Sydney as an only child.
