The Masters is into the quarter-final stages at Alexandra Palace, with a blockbuster line-up in the last eight in north London. There were a string of impressive performances in the opening round, with the likes of Mark Selby and Judd Trump really looking good early on.
There will be none of the famed Class of 92 in the quarter-finals, with John Higgins and Mark Williams both losing out in deciding frames in the first round. That came after the withdrawal of reigning champion Ronnie O’Sullivan two days before the event begun on Sunday.
There is no shortage of quality remaining, though, with every player still alive in the last eight having won a Triple Crown event in the past. The last eight contests are played over Thursday and Friday, with the semis on Saturday and the Paul Hunter Trophy being handed out on Sunday evening after a two-session final.
The champion will land the biggest ever top prize dished out at the Masters, with the winners’ cheque boosted to £350,000 this season. Sunday 12 January. 1pm: Neil Robertson 6-5 John Higgins. 7pm: Shaun Murphy 6-3 Gary Wilson. Monday 13 January. 1pm: Mark Williams 5-6 Ding Junhui.
7pm: Mark Selby 6-1 Ali Carter. Tuesday 14 January. 1pm: Judd Trump 6-1 Barry Hawkins. 7pm: Mark Allen 6-2 Si Jiahui. Wednesday 15 January. 1pm: Kyren Wilson 6-4 Zhang Anda. 7pm: Luca Brecel 6-3 Chris Wakelin. Thursday 16 January. 1pm: Neil Robertson 2-6 Shaun Murphy.
