Pianist Jools Holland shocked viewers who tuned in for his ‘terrible’ appearance on Who Wants To Be a Millionaire on Sunday night. Jeremy Clarkson welcomed musician and broadcaster Jools Holland, actress Nina Wadia and rugby union presenter Ugo Monye to the show on Sunday night for the celebrity special of 2024.
Hopes were high for Jools, 66, as the first contestant, but fans were immediately disappointed as it transpired that the broadcaster was rather out of the loop with pop culture. ‘Jools Holland might be the worst contestant in Millionaire history. Two lifelines on the first 5 questions,’ said JTurnC on X.
‘Good at Piano. S***e at general knowledge #whowantstobeamillionaire’ said BurntDeadBird. ‘I think I became dumber after watching this episode #WhoWantstoBeaMillionaire,’ said Ctalentless. ‘Fans were also shocked when he used his safety net and lifelines early on in the game.
‘A safety net at 16k Jules Holland is terrible at this game. #WhoWantsToBeAMillionaire,’ said RyanTheSoapking. ‘What the heck? Jools Holland used Phone A Friend on the Psycho question? JOOLS HOLLAND?!? I thought he was clever! #WhoWantsToBeAMillionaire.
In another baffling moment, when phoning a friend for assistance, Jools choose to read out the answers out of order. ‘Why did he read them out of order. #WhoWantsToBeAMillionaire,’ said TheRealDeclanK1. In yet another memorable moment, the musician struggled to guess which member of the Spice Girls shared a maiden name with two former US Presidents.
