A Who Wants to Be a Millionaire contestant recently soared through to the ultimate £1 million question, sparking animated discussions among viewers about how tough the final challenge proved to be. Davyth Fear from Caernarfon impressed everyone as he made light work of the earlier questions, occupying the notorious black seat. Host Jeremy Clarkson couldn't help but commend his smart display, even jokingly expressing concern: "I'm slightly worried this whole screen is going to move towards you because I think your genius is generating gravity.".

After racking up a cool £500,000 with a raft of correct answers, Clarkson put forward the million-pound brain-teaser: "Which of these people was born the same year as Queen Elizabeth II? " The options included Audrey Hepburn, Judy Garland, Julie Andrews, and Marilyn Monroe. The savvy ex-geography teacher intelligently decided to keep hold of his half-a-million winnings instead of risking it, leaving viewers astounded since they had the correct answer Marilyn Monroe.

On Twitter, fans didn't hold back their praise or their punches, with Jojo posting: "easy question for the £1m", Vicki voicing her exasperation at knowing the big-money answer: "when you're watching #whowantstobeamillionaire and [know] the million pound question and screaming it out thinking somehow he is going to magically [know] the answer with you doing so..." while Alex applauded Davyth's victory: "£500,000 that's Half a Million to Davyd so not bad at all but you did really well Davyd.", reports the Express.
