Abbie Chatfield was reduced to tears on Wednesday after boyfriend Adam Hyde gave her a very special Christmas gift. On Boxing Day, Abbie took to Instagram to share an intimate video of Adam presenting her with a horseshoe necklace. The family significance of the jewellery is what made the FBoy Island star emotional.
The necklace, designed by Melbourne-based artist Millie Savage, is a replica of one worn by Abbie's late grandmother, Carmel. Abbie's new piece was made even more meaningful by the inclusion of her and Adam's birthstones. As Abbie realised the significance of the gift in the video, she became overwhelmed with emotion and struggled to find the words.
