Alan Carr's ex-husband Paul Drayton has announced his 'amazing' brother has sadly died aged 28. Party planner and actor Paul, 53, took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a photo with his late sibling James and paid an emotional tribute. Paul revealed his brother tragically passed away just before Christmas, but did not disclose his cause of death.

He wrote: 'Goodbye my gentle soul! I'm sorry I didn't tell you I loved you more. 'You will be sorely missed by all your family. We will never forget what an amazing brother/ son/ grandson and father you were.'. He added a broken heart emoji alongside the words: 'James Drayton. 2/4/1996 - 18/ 12/ 2024.

Alan Carr's ex-husband Paul Drayton has announced his 'amazing' brother has sadly died aged 28 as he paid tribute to him on Instagram on Tuesday. Paul revealed his brother tragically passed away just before Christmas , but did not say his cause of death.
Paul accompanied the post with Michael Jackson's song Gone Too Soon. Paul and comedian Alan broke up back in May 2022 after 13 years together. They said in a statement at the time: 'After 13 years as a couple and three years of marriage, Alan Carr and Paul Drayton would like to announce they are separating.
'They have jointly and amicably made the difficult decision to divorce and go their separate ways.'. Paul had a well-documented battle with alcoholism, and narrowly escaped jail after reversing into a police car with an alcohol test reading 'off the scale' in 2022.
