A British comedy called ‘ridiculously funny’ by fans will soon be available to watch for free in the UK. The superhero comedy series Extraordinary was first released on Disney Plus at the start of 2023. Set in a world where everyone develops a superpower when they turn 18, it follows Jen (Máiréad Tyers), a 25-year-old who still doesn’t have any power seven years after expecting one. The first season debuted to a 100% rating on review site Rotten Tomatoes.
‘This show brings such a hopefulness to those who don’t have it all figured out yet. I found myself relating to every character on some level,’ Clara posted. ‘While this is in someways a take on people with superpowers, the strength of this show lies in its take on growing up, fitting in and finding yourself. The superpowers are an extremely funny 2nd string in this underrated comedy,’ Gareth shared.
‘Brilliant! Really need it to continue! I binged both of the seasons like mad,’ Cele added. In its review of season 1, Metro wrote that the show ‘breathes fresh life into the over-exploited’ genre and ‘stands out from the crowd’. It was then followed by a second season, which was released in March last year. At the time it was teased of the new episodes that they ‘picked up where season one spectacularly left off, following Jen on her powers journey as she enrols as a client at the power clinic’.
‘Jen soon discovers that finding her power isn’t as easy as she hoped, and things in the rest of her life aren’t sailing smoothly either,’ Disney added. Next month both seasons will be made available to watch for free in the UK for the first time, with ITVX releasing all 16 episodes. Up Next. They will also follow Jen as she embarks on a proper relationship with Jizzlord (Luke Rollason), however his past finally catches up with him. At the same time, they also struggle to find space for their relationship in the fallout of Carrie and Kash’s breakup who are still also living in the flat together. Despite season 2 ending on a cliffhanger, last month Disney announced it had cancelled the series.
In a statement it said it would not be returning for a third season but it was ‘so proud of the hilarious, award-winning series brought to life by the incredibly talented British and Irish cast and crew, our production partners at Sid Gentle Films, and the exceptional writing talent of creator Emma Moran’. What I Own: I quit London at 48 and bought my first home in Sussex for £325,000. London's cheapest place to rent revealed — but it might not be for long.
Londoners are flocking to this ‘bustling’ neighbourhood 10 miles from the centre. If you live at this house number, your property could be 'cursed'. What I Own: I bought my £820,000 Nine Elms flat through a little-known saving scheme. Extraordinary is streaming on Disney Plus. Both seasons will be available on ITVX from March 6. Got a story?.
