The owner of the trophy revealed how his late father was 'good friends' with the baseball legend and was given the 1926 trophy - which was later gifted to the Antiques Roadshow guest.
During the season 29 premiere of the PBS show, there was a stop in Arkansas where there was a sterling trophy awarded to baseball star Rogers Hornsby.
"Hornsby was presented this trophy for being voted the most popular player in the National League by the youth of America... [it was presented to him] on opening day in April of 1926.".
"I would say, for you and your family, for insurance purposes, you're going to want to insure this for $10,000," the appraiser then revealed the shocking value of the special trophy.
