Antony has reportedly rejected a move to Olympiacos but remains open to quitting Manchester United. Antony joined United from Ajax back in 2022 as he reunited with former manager Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford for a huge £86million fee. However, he has failed to live up to expectations so far, returning just 17 goal contributions across two-and-a-half seasons at United.

Since Ruben Amorim replaced Ten Hag as manager in November, Antony has not made a single Premier League start. And according to a report from ABC Sevilla, as per Sport Witness, Real Betis, Benfica and Olympiacos are all hoping to sign Antony on loan this month.

Benfica and Olympiacos are both said to have made official approaches to United for the winger, but an agreement is yet to be reached. It is claimed Antony has rejected Olympiacos' interest and would prefer to join Betis. The report states that Antony is 'awaiting news' from United about his future, but Betis have been in contact with the Brazilian's representatives for the past three weeks. Betis' financial situation could complicate the deal, but the recent sale of Assane Diao to Como for around €12million (£10m) has freed up some cash.

The club also believe the success of players like Isco, Ayoze Perez and Giovani Lo Celso, who have got back to their best at Betis, will help entice Antony to join them. The 24-year-old's agent, Junior Pedroso, recently spoke out about his client's future.

"Many clubs have approached us for Antony's move in January," Pedroso told GiveMeSport. "These clubs wanted to understand the situation for Antony, so I can confirm that there’s concrete interest. I can say that Antony's future is very much tied to Manchester United's interests.
