During Tuesday’s episode of the WTF with Marc Maron podcast, the 31-year-old actor spoke candidly about the previously strained relationship of her mother, Joan Grande, and father, Ed Butera.
She explained that while her parents didn’t get along for years after their breakup, finally things changed for the better at her insistence.
“It really is beautiful, and if only they had the tools that I feel like we have now, this generation, with therapy and embracing that, maybe it could have happened sooner, but it was just the perfect thing.”.
“I remember just kind of being at this pivotal point where I was just like, ‘You guys, I love you both so much.
The thing that got me there was embracing the fact that I am made up of half my dad, and a lot of my traits come from him,” Grande explained at the time.
