Saturday Kitchen host Matt Tebbutt 'let slip' a major show detail during a candid interview with Last Leg star Adam Hills. The episode that aired on February 1st saw the 51-year-old open up about the ins and outs of the show after the Australian comedian, 54, grilled him over filming details. Matt's candid admission came about after Adam had been "seriously impressed" with his skills, not only praising his ability to serve up incredible food but cooking while the cameras were rolling and interviewing guests on the show all at the same time.

The Last Leg star praised: "Can I just say this is the most impressive thing I have ever seen," with a huge smile on his face Matt replied: "Isn't it?" Adam continued to hail the presenter stating: "If I'm cooking at home, I can't even hold a conversation. I'm like 'nope, just don't even ask me a question I need to focus on this'.". He continued to heap praise: "You're doing this while kind of hosting a TV show," as Matt confessed: "Do you know what? I am like that at home, I hate people talking to me. I hate it.".

Matt went on to complain: "And everyone just wants to chat and I'm like 'go away'." Understanding that the Saturday Kitchen star may need a break from being interrupted while cooking when at home, he agreed: "If that happens at home for you you're like 'I do this in front of cameras'.". It was at this point that Matt opened up on how he manages to multitask at work in a surprise filming admission. "It's only because we've practised this about three times, I can do it with my eyes shut," spilled Matt.

This isn't the first time the host has made a candid confession on-air. Fans were taken back at the start of the year when Matt flouted show rules. Many viewers who tune in each week will know that asking guests to reveal their favourite food and contrary meal has been a much loved staple on the show since its launch. It gives folk at home a chance to engage with the show as they get to vote for either the food heaven or hell for celebrities who appear on the programme.

The presenter was joined by I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! alumni Jordan North, Sian Welby, and Chris Stark. The group unanimously agreed that "pub grub" would be their food heaven. Matt had two dishes prepared for his guests - a tempting pie and, less appealingly, a Kipper Hash breakfast for the not-so-tasty option. Breaking the usual protocol, Matt prematurely hinted that the trio might be facing their dreaded dish based on the current vote tally, saying: "We're heading towards fish at the moment," much to the dismay of his guests.
