Skincare lovers have sparked a debate over a hugely popular skincare device, after claiming the facial cleansing tool has caused nerve inflammation on their faces. While the Medicube Booster Pro, which retails for $230, is wildly popular - with many social media users declaring it's transformed their skin - some content creators have claimed it's caused temporary paralysis in their faces.

As per the website, the device combines the latest skincare technology - Electroporation, Microcurrent, EMS, Electric needles, LED and Sonic vibration - and improves skincare product absorption, enhanced radiance, elasticity care, facial contouring and pore care.

But one TikTok user, who posts under the username Critically Caucasian, said after only a few days of using the Korean skincare brand's device, it caused so much nerve inflammation that her eye started drooping, her pupil was dilated and she was having a hard time seeing.

'There's pressure on my face. The nurse at urgent care thought I was having an aneurysm,' she shared in a video. 'Turns out it's inflammation from this device.'. The beauty enthusiast said she now has to go to a specialist to make sure there is no permanent damage, but noted it did not state that nerve damage was a possibility anywhere on the box.

'Nowhere does it say it will irritate a nerve,' she continued. 'I'm not risking permanent damage over skincare.'. Medicube has vehemently denied the claims.
