Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni's bombshell texts laid bare - before bitter fallout

Blake Lively reportedly referred to herself as a "ballbuster" and "flirty" in alleged texts sent to Justin Baldoni that have been shared online. The two actors, who starred together on It Ends With Us, have been locked in a legal battle since Blake initiated a lawsuit over Justin's conduct. Blake has accused her co-star of sexual harassment and alleges a targeted PR campaign aimed at tarnishing her reputation post-film collaboration.

Justin then countersued Blake and her husband Ryan Reynolds for a whopping $400 million, alleging an attempt to "destroy" his good name and career. Now, it's claimed Blake and Ryan's lawyers have filed a notice to state that they will seek to dismiss Justin's lawsuit. This is in line with Judge Lewis Linman's court order, which outlined how the case will go ahead. The purported text thread between Blake and her co-star has come to light, showing her describing her communication style: "It's my love language. Spicy and playfully bold, never with teeth." This message was supposedly part of a discussion about a steamy segment of the movie, with claims that Blake consistently called herself a "ballbuster" throughout filming.

In another chat Justin dismisses any suggestion that Blake won't look 'amazing' in 'body scenes' when she asked for them to be delayed to the end of the shoot. His lawyers lay out a timeline from January 2019 to January 2024. This includes 168 pages of emails, text messages and WhatsApps, mostly between him and Blake. Baldoni disliked a message from Lively revealing that she was keen to lose weight before filming after having her fourth child. The messages between the co-stars saw Lively thank her co-star for his 'support' and 'friendship'. Mr Baldoni then said how he had been 'worried' about her and joked that she must feel 1000lbs lighter emotionally. Lively jokingly replied: "I really really do. Only 20 to go.".

On Valentine's Day, Baldoni messaged Blake and said that it was 'really fun' writing for the movie knowing he had scenes in his mind which starred Lively. He then said he meant 'exciting' and suggested that he should apologise. However, Blake replied: "You're safe here". Lively, was concerned that she would not be in shape for love scenes and asks in a text: "What's the chance we can do body scenes at the end of the schedule?" Baldoni responded that he isn't able to fix the schedule yet but told her: "I want you to know you will look amazing. Anything you are insecure about we will talk through and get creative together and make you comfortable. I just don't want you to stress about your body. It's the last thing you need.".

In April 2023, Baldoni told Lively that he had hired an intimacy coordinator and that they could meet “next week.” He said that he loved her and would 'set you up' for an introduction. Lively replied: "I feel good. I can meet her when we start. Thank you though.". Blake and Justin also texted about how her character Lily should have a flirty exchange with his character. Lively suggested that she 'take a pass' at rewriting a scene between the pair on a rooftop. Lively texted Baldoni that she wanted to "amp (up) their verbal ping pong/volley' and said: "how flirty and yummy and ballbusting" it would be. The pair then spent a long time discussing how the intimate scene would play out from their movie.

Lively told her co-star: "Let me know what you prefer. If you knew me (in person) longer, you'd have a sense of how flirty and yummy the ball-busting would play. It's my love language. Spicy and playfully bold, never with teeth. And him serving it back to her is just as important. You don't usually see both the man and the woman with such agency and humor. Anyway, I can act it out for you next week to make sure it comes through, or I can send it now. Let me know what you prefer." To which he replied: "I agree so much. Lily needs to be strong, playful and bold.".

In June 2023, Baldoni praised Lively after a 'hard' week of shooting while she was caring for her newborn son. The actor told his co-star: "I just wanted to say thank you for giving this week 110%. I know how hard it must be to be shooting and also have your partner gone and feeling exhausted. I appreciate all you have done to to catch up.". Blake responded kindly to his message, writing: "Thanks so much for the text. I appreciate your empathy and I will give it in return, you're in the same boat." Then in August, before tensions between the pair hit an all-time high, Baldoni messaged Lively to wish her a happy birthday. Lively took six days to reply, but thanked her co-star for his thoughtful present of a matcha machine.".
