Kim Sae-ron took on the lead female role of a 12-episode web series called The Great Shaman Ga Doo-shim in 2021, before being cast in SBS drama Trolley.

She later apologised on her Instagram account with a handwritten note which read: "First, I am sorry to inform you of the position after arranging the accident and damage situation.

She landed her first adult lead role in the 2016 TV drama Secret Healer, the same year she signed with YG Entertainment.

Her career took off with leading roles in the 2014 film A Girl At My Door and the 2011 TV drama Listen To My Heart.
