The Princess of Wales was 'energetic' as she 'excitedly' chatted with cancer patients during an emotional visit to The Royal Marsden Hospital this morning - where she herself had received treatment. Kate Middleton, 43, personally thanked staff for their ‘exceptional care, support and compassion’ over the past 12 months.
The mother-of-two appeared to have an 'almost overwhelming urge to communicate', a body language expert has revealed. Speaking to FEMAIL, Judi James explained: 'Her brows are raised in a high arch and she is very animated, with very emphatic hand gestures that signal excitement and gratitude.
'Her palms are cupped and she throws her hands around, showing an even greater desire to talk as she does to listen and this reminds us of the unique shared experiences and relationships she has with them all.'. The communications coach added that Kate was 'naturally and authentically empathetic' with patients.
This can be seen from some of the 'body language mirroring and matching, showing shared states, thoughts and experiences'. 'Her tactile behavior looks relaxed, and her hugs seem received as a shared comfort ritual,' Judi added.
