Mail Sport revealed this week that the former England U21 international would be allowed to leave amid interest from foreign clubs with LaLiga strugglers Valencia among them.

Aarons arrived from Norwich in 2023 with the reputation as one of the best emerging full-backs in English football. But his career has stalled on the south coast this season and a move away in order to secure more regular first team football could benefit all parties.
