Bride sparks huge debate after making a major change to her appearance 20 minutes before ceremony

A bride has sparked a fierce debate after washing off her makeup on her big day - while the makeup artist was still in the room. Bride Lauren Avery was 20 minutes away from her first look when she decided to wash off her makeup, saying in a now-viral TikTok that she 'hated' it and didn't feel like herself.
In a clip, widely shared on social media, Lauren was standing over the sink, washing her face as her bridesmaid held her hair back. She said her lips were too pink and the makeup artist hadn't blended the foundation into her neck, opting to do it herself instead.
'I asked for natural glowy, blushy, bronzy and it was very powdery,' Lauren wrote in a comment when asked what her desired makeup look was. 'I looked like one color (very pale),' she continued. 'And it just didn’t feel like me.'. She added she did do a makeup trial, where she was assured by the makeup artist they would change the things she was concerned about.
'[She] didn’t let me see the makeup till she was done then it was not at all what I wanted,' Lauren explained. She then cut to a clip of her in her wedding dress, writing 'so much better' on the video. Viewers were divided, with some praising the bride for changing her makeup so she was comfortable on her big day. Others sympathized with the makeup artist and questioned if she communicated with her with what she wanted.
