Since Anthony vanished – killed by Ruby, but the body disposed of by John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) – Caleb has been seething over the knowledge that his brother slept with his wife, though Cain has denied it.
Even worse, a DNA test proved what Ruby had long feared but had tried to ignore – that Anthony, and not Caleb, was Steph’s biological father.
Caleb’s world crumbled when he found out he wasn’t Steph’s dad, and his heart broke for Ruby when he found out what Anthony had done.
Cunning Anthony managed to turn the tables to some extent, by revealing to Caleb his discovery that Ruby had slept with Cain.
