The Crown star Georgie joined Call the Midwife during season eight in 2018, while Linda has been a series regular since season four - which first aired in 2014.
The actor, who plays Dr Turner in the hit BBC period drama, has praised co-stars Georgie Glen and Linda Bassett for their "superb" on-screen chemistry and urged producers to consider a separate series dedicated to them.
