Katie Price's ex-fiancé Carl Woods has hit out at her latest IVF documentary, calling it an 'attention grab' and accusing her of not caring whether he was the father of her sixth child. Katie Price: Making Babies is a two-part Channel 4 documentary that follows the IVF journey of the reality star, 46, and her then-partner Carl, 35. Filmed in 2023, the documentary captures the former couple's fertility struggles and emotional ups and downs, although they split by the end of the year after two years together.
In the series, Katie and Carl are told early on that their chances of success with IVF were less than one percent. Despite this, and ongoing issues in their relationship, the pair decided to continue with the treatment. However, Carl has now accused the mother-of-five of using him for the show. Speaking to The Sun, he said: 'It wasn’t about having a kid with me. It was just about an attention grab, the latest puppy she wants.'. He continued: 'It didn’t matter if it was me or just a sperm donor. It’s not a story about how much I really want a kid with you.'.
'Katie just wants a kid with anybody who's going to donate sperm to her. So excuse me if I’m a bit flippant about it.'. Carl also claimed that the filming process was 'very awkward,' particularly due to a scene where producers allegedly edited it to make it seem like Katie was surprised after he blocked her one morning. According to Carl, she had never returned home the night before, and the producers 'biasedly edited' the scene to portray him in a negative light.
Carl claimed that Katie ignored him all day after going out to 'work' and had been unreachable. Later that evening, he appeared at her house and claimed he overheard her speaking with another man while on a FaceTime call with her son Jett. He claimed that the star was out drinking at the time and he could hear another man speaking to her. Carl alleged that when he appeared on the call, Katie told him to 'f**k off' and hung up, which led to him missing her next appointment. A spokesperson for Channel 4 told The Sun: 'Katie Price: Making Babies is a fair and balanced representation of events during filming.'. Throughout the documentary, both Katie and Carl reflected on their breakup. Carl praised Katie's abilities as a mother, calling her a 'wonderful mum,' but was critical of how she portrayed their relationship's end.
