Boxning legend Chris Eubank Sr believes his son Chris Jr is putting his life in danger by fighting long-time rival Conor Benn. The two boxing stars have been entangled in a family feud since their fathers fought twice in 1990 and 1993. Following recent successful discussions, both men are set to to go toe-to-toe on April 26 - with the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium looking set to host the event.

Taking to X - formerly known as Twitter - on Wednesday morning, Saudi boxing chief Turki Alalshikh wrote: "Eubank Jr vs Benn done in April, London, by the name of (Fatal Fury City of the Wolves). Soon I will announce the day and the location, it will be The Ring’s first card in collaboration with the video game and SNK, and I will push to make PPV price 19.99 GBP for the fans, with tough undercard…Lets get boxing great again and wait for huge announcement soon.".

However, before both men signed the official fight contracts, Eubank Sr told The Sun that he believed the fight would never take place and was quick to reference their 2022 planned clash, saying: “My son, if he had taken that fight where they tried to boil him down to 157, would have lost his life.”.

Chris lost his son Sebastian in 2023 at the age of 29 after suffering heart attack, and is now praying that he doesn't lose another child. “I lost Sebastian," he continued. “What do I say about losing another one? Nothing, I just pray.” Over the last few years, there have been issues regarding a fight between Eubank Jr and Benn. The latter predominantly fights at welterweight (147Ibs), while Eubank competes in the middleweight division - two weight classes higher than his foe.
