Chrissy Teigen appeared to mistake Ipswich Town for Chelsea after wearing the latter's shirt while attending a game at fellow London club Arsenal. She was joined by husband John Legend and their children to watch on as Arsenal beat Ipswich 1-0 at the Emirates Stadium in north London.
It was the couple's first Premier League game and the pair gave an interview to Prime Video following the match. However, when asked why she supports Chelsea, Chrissy seemed to confuse the west London team with the team she just spent the last 90 minutes watching in Ipswich Town.
She said: 'Listen, I love an underdog, and I love coming in and being surprised by how much a team can do and and I think it was so much fun for us to root for them, because everyone was on Arsenal side. 'Yeah, I wanted to really give them the support that they needed. When you said Chelsea, I was like, is Chelsea Ipswich? I don't know.'.
The 39-year-old posted to her Instagram to show off her 'risky moves' in wearing a Chelsea shirt to the Arsenal ground while also donning a half and half scarf featuring Ipswich Town. During the match, she also took to Instagram to suggest ways to make the game more exciting by saying 'soccer needs more goals' before adding 'also the main goals should be higher in the air'.
