Conor McGregor appeared to mock long-time rival Khabib Nurmagomedov after the latter was kicked off a flight after an argument with an attendant. The former lightweight world champion was filmed having a back-and-forth with a member of the crew on a flight which was heading to Los Angeles from Las Vegas over the weekend. The Russian was sitting in the exit row, but staff from Frontier Airlines were allegedly "uncomfortable" and wanted to move him elsewhere for the flight.
Nurmagomedov viciously protest against the "unfair" decision, insisting he "knows the language" and "how to help people." The Russian added: "It's not fair... I'd like to sit here." Eventually, he was given an ultimatum. The 36-year-old was soon led away from his seat despite explaining he had been cleared to sit in the exit row by staff at the airport.
The interaction has since gone viral on social media and the Russian's bitter former foe, McGregor, has recently chimed in with a cheeky swipe at 'The Eagle.' The Irishman couldn't resist the chance to get one over the ex-champion by following the Instagram account of Frontier Airlines.
Both McGregor and Nurmagomedov traded barbs on social media several times before finally facing-off in 2018. The Russian would go on to defeat 'The Notorious' to retain his lightweight title before a fight broke out between the two teams. The heated animosity between the two men is clearly still alive following their famous clash at UFC 229.
Soon after the heated exchange, Nurmagomedov took to social media to share his side of the story, explaining he had done nothing wrong. In a post uploaded to X - formerly known as Twitter - he wrote: "The lady who came to me with questions was very rude from the very beginning. Even though I speak very decent English and can understand everything and agreed to assist, she still insists on removing me from my seat.
