The Critics Choice Awards 2025 have been postponed for a second time due to the ongoing wildfires ravaging through Southern California. The show was initially slated to take place on Sunday, January 12 at Barker Hangar and feature a star-studded lineup in attendance. And just prior to the show date, the event was re-scheduled for Sunday, January 26.
However, due to the venue's close proximity to the fire-ravaged Pacific Palisades, ceremony officials have decided to push back the show to February. It is unclear if the Critics Choice awards will still be held at the iconic hangar, but Variety confirmed the new show date will be revealed in the coming days and that the event will be held in Santa Monica, California.
Chelsea Handler is hosting the awards show for the third consecutive year, with Wicked, Conclave and Shogun leading the nominees. The Palisades Fire is at 17% containment and the Eaton Fire in Altadena/Pasadena is at 35% containment as of Tuesday night, per CalFire.
